Abstract

|
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to find out the average PHD of each part according to the use of interdental brushes and periodontal health.
Methods: From June 1 to October 31, 2022, among those who visited the dental clinic, those who had at least one area where contact points between teeth were targeted.
Results: Only 30.4% of the visiting patients responded that they used interdental brushes, and the PHD of interdental brushes according to periodontal health showed a tendency to be smaller in areas with gingival bleeding and edema compared to healthy periodontal tissue, and showed a large tendency in areas with gingival recession. showed a trend.
Conclusions: It is considered necessary to find ways to apply interdental brushes in clinical practice for systematic oral management of patients with periodontal disease.
